Daffodils normally prepare a pair of inches boost now-purely poking in the process the soil. One a hazard reason for mis-shapen boost is spray drifting from weedkiller,if used close by. yet another excuse would desire to be an endemic affecting the bulbs,or in the event that they have been in an identical spot for a protracted time, the clump would desire to be lifted in the spring and cut up into seperate bulbs.

Why dig them out?
If they were left to die down naturally you will get more blooms next year.
As far as tomato's are concerned they will grow fine as long as they are fed every 3 or 4 day with high nitrogen, then when the first truss sets start using a tomato fertiliser

Planting in a bed that once had daffodils (and the daffs' grew healthly free from desease) won't affect whatever produce you wish to grow in their place.
