If everybody will retire then who will represent India.

New comers

Then after 20 games you will again put a question in this yahoo answer whether to recall old mates.

I understand your frustration about India's failure in world cup cricket. We are all united against the players to root them out from Indian cricket team. Public, media, senior players, administrator and even the selectors are raising the voice against the senior players. This is only because the expectation from our side was very high. We were not doing well for the last one and half year, simply because we were not preparing well. Mr Chappell, who has been talking about the mission 2007, was involved in too many experimentation. He pushed Sachin to lower order, the man who is most successfull in the opening slot. Think will Australia push Haiden or Gilchrist down the order, Jaisuria comming at no 4 or Smith comming down the order after his failureagainst India? The answer is big no. Chappell is the man responsible for the downfall of youngsters like Pathan, Raina and even senior like Ganguly. He gave no respect to our heros, rather he created unsecurity amogst the best of our players. And with this he succeded in his mission 2007, which was to distroy the Indian cricket team. Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly need respect and not the chappal or Chappell. Responsibility of the future of Indian cricket team lies on the shoulders of youngsters, but that should be done within the guidence of these great cricketers and not the one who runs TV proagramms by initiating such provocative statements.

It is true that our Indian Cricket team did not played well in WC2007. But there are lot of reasons behind our team failures. First of all, the selec tion have done mistake by taking Sachin and Sehwag. Uthappa, instead of Mohd. Kaif, VVS Laxman. Secondly there are no all rounder in our team. Irfaan did not allowed to play to come up in filling of such lapse of all rounder. Thirdly our players were played as individually, but not for nation. Rahul Dravid is a good captain and player too. But Sachin become aged and there is no good cricket in him, he must to By open eyesgo retire long back. Only for the sake of records he is pulling our existence by getting support from some politicians. If sachin, sehwag and Ganguly go retire, new blood may get entry and then only our Cricket team would do some realthing. I hope Sachin may go.......

Yes definitely. Sehwag and Sachin have been out of form here. I was sadly dissapointed when they came to SA. Sachin is but a shadow of himself and Sehwag didnt look confident at all. Dravid, I believe is still a fantastic batsmen but lacks the captaining skills. I think India needs to look forward to 2011 and ask players like Sachin and Sehwag to leave international one day cricket and focus on their 5 day game.

These players have a lot to offer young upcoming players, and should coach as opossed to hogging their place in the Indian cricket team. Its about leaving the game when you on top, like Shane Warne, Glen Mcgrath and Damien Martyn than being dropped from the team.

These days players keep playing unless they are kicked out because of the money involved. Earlier the players used to quit with dignity. When players like Sachin, Sehwag and Saurav are asked to retire it does not mean that they are bad players as they have proved their worth in the past, but how can one keep sticking around on the basis of past laurels. In any case Sachin has so many individual records but how many times he has achieved victory for India? All the great players like Bradman. Hutton. Sobers Lara and others have scored triple centuries and more in Test Cricket, but has Sachin scored one?

Let Sachin decide.I feel he should understand that it is time for him.He can retire with grace after the Bangladesh tour where he can score a double hundred and get satisfaction.
( or a double duck and get kicked out)
It is time our board understand that Dravid is not a captain material. He got his chance and blew it.
Shewag will be a non cricketer once Dravid loses his captaincy.
What we need is a rotation policy and a strict rule that players must have played atleast 3 ranji matches in a year to qualify.
