Im half filipina, I live in Australia. I go there 4months every year.. Once i became a teenager i really started loving the place! In Manila.. ohhhh So many things 2 do so little time! Bar, Clubs, Malls, Transport, Accomodation.. is all cheap!
The people are Soooooo friendly and just LOVE to host foreigners (probably coz they get a thrill and excitement from practising their english).. The Scenery outside manila is beautiful, Crystal clear Diving, Beautiful beaches, High peaks for mountineers, Thick forest and Deep oceans for Explorers... My favourite is BAGUIO.. To the north of manila.. Travelling up the mountain is exciting and the View of houses in the mountain is AMAZING!!
If your going there to check out the Women, They may be one of the most beautiful breeds in the World! And The men are Oh so charming!
Unlike most asian countries philippines has a heavy American Influence, so they tolerate foreigners customs no problem.. U can wear anything you want and Have a good time without worrying if ur beaking any sort of Custom.
You cant miss The fiestas! Dancing, Costumes and funny hosts really entertain u for a about 3-5 nights in a row.
Heres some extra information...
Entrance in clubs is 100peso-200peso, 700peso (most expensive i know of The Embassy, Which is the party place of most celebrities and socialites), Mall prices for clothes is significantly cheaper than u would spend in ur own country, though u can buy well known brands for international prices. Transport is so cheap u need not worry 1 bit about it hehehehe! Accomodation is dependant on ur stand, good Cheap accomadation in Malate can be around 1000+ peso a day.

Philippines is not for everyone. Some foreigners find it dirty, warm and dangerous. There are also a number of foreigners who found paradise in the Philippines. Considering there are 7,100 islands to choose from, sooner or later you will find an island you can call paradise.
The Philippines is a developing country like India, Vietnam and Indonesia. In these countries you can see and literally smell poverty in the streets. However you still see a lot of foreign tourists visiting these countries over and over again. It really depends what is "good" for you.

Depends on what's your ideal vacation.
For me, the Philippines is very nice. Much better than Thailand or Malaysia.

Yes, I live here. It's great for shopping, we have 3 of the largest malls in the world in Manila. Most importantly we have great dive sites and beaches. Boracay and Palawan are excellent beaches and are places where foreigners feel at home. Aside from that, the dollar goes pretty far here, everything is pretty inexpensive.

the Philippines is a wonderful place to visit and I hope you will see it for yourself someday. we have some of the most beautiful beaches, the friendliest and most hospitable people, the most affordable shopping, the most interesting wildlife, and many more attractions. go visit your travel agent and make your booking for your next vacation. you won't regret it!

I was born and raise there. after 25 years, i left that country to look for a greener pasture. If you're a foreigner, your dollar will really go far!!! but if your a local, you will surely look for a better paying job outside the country.
for travellers, you should not miss the places like palawan, cebu, boracay, and of course manila.

Yes, its cool provided you know the basic do's and dont's. Filipina ladies are EXCELLENT in bed and their beaches are wonderful. But food is awful and smelly. The country also has a high crime and natural calamity rate. Its dirt cheap.
