Hindi / English news channels of foreign origin are condemning the team India for their defeat in the world cup... they did the same with Pakistan also... all other teams in the world cup are not going to lift the world cup together... all of them except one have to lose matches more than one time...

The world cup will be lifted by only one country... we should not forget it

I am sure that the citizens of those losing teams would not sing the chorus sung by the foreign / western channels as we Indians and Pakistanis do...

Yes we are the oldest civilization... we are civilized... in Pakistan, people have almost devastated the spirit of cricket… we Indians are also doing the same…

I fully agree. In sports win or loss should be taken in true sportsman spirit. By attacking the players, there is nothing to gain but we will be the laughing stock in the eyes of public of other countries. We should behave in more civilised manner

You are right, but you have overlooked one thing. If this game was not watched with frenzy, many of these players, would not have generated pseduo images with the help of media, obliging writers, politicians, commentators, sponsors etc. Because so many millions watch, aerated drinks producers etc. see a potential for huge earnings.

These 'patriots' promote these dubious products, and we blindly copy them. While the sponsors, Board, players get mountainous 'profits', the game watchers burn holes in thier pockets. How many cricketers care for the fans? They think they oblige them.

Just imagine a scenario when a match is played in an empty stadium. When we profusely welcome the players, no one says we are over reacting. They are busy counting millions. Now when some players perform badly in one game after another, why is it said that we are over reacting. Either be like Gandhiji, so that no external influence matters, or accept the bouquets with the brickbats.

And please do not call present sloggers 'blasters'.

Rohan Gavaskar says that it is the prerogative of Sachin in so far as retirement is concerned. My goodness! Is it a 'jagir'?

Thanks Rohan, you have shown us the mirror. You mean performance does not count. Ha! Ha!! What matters, connections and relations? One cannot rest on one's oars for long, not for more than four years.
