What type of shade plants that flower are there?

Question

Something that only needs 3-4 hours of sun a day, but will have some nice flowers on them. I live in the SF bay area if you need to know the climate.

There are numerous plants that will thrive for you but the best advice will come from a worker in your local nursery. I suggest some of the ground covers that take little work and you might even try some of the ferns (depends on water and soil). Certain of the succulents will be ok but tend to get 'leggy' and you might consider any one of the native plants (be careful as some are protected by law). Use native plants as they have adapted to the surroundings and use those that best match your area.
