It is based on experience, the people u met in ur life and also because we are human beings and our culture and strategy for survival is so complicated as we hv evolved that we hv to do lot of planning, fighting, executing, etc and not trusting each other is a small part of it.

I trust most people until they give me a reason not to. But then again, I have been hurt a lot by allowing others whome I don't know too well get too close.

Because its bad enough to trust ourselves, now imagine trusting others.
If we know how bad we are, we might have an idea how others might be.
And i agree with the Boss...it is also experience.

Humans are conditioned not to trust each other. It's natural.

Because they simply lack of knowledge of the others. Trust has to be earned gradually, it couldn't be given it.

It is easier to be tougher than to be vulnerable, plus people want to believe the worst about others.

after you get burned a few times, you'll not stick your hand in the fire. Unfortunately, the few that rip others off have ruined it for all the others.
