$12 BILLION IN IRAQ AID MISSING
If—and it is a big if—the tens of billions of dollars in U.S. taxpayer dollars wasted in Iraq are ever accounted for, it may turn out to be the biggest fleecing of Americans in the history of the United States. And average Americans will not have been the only victims.
Millions of ordinary, law-abiding Iraqis had hoped their nation’s oil wealth would be used to rebuild their country after President Bush ordered the attack on their country. Instead it was used to line the pockets of tribal leaders, insurgents, militias, crooked U.S. contractors, some U.S. soldiers and an unspecified number of powerful elites in the Iraqi government.

$69 million in Iraqi oil is missing
Iraqi officials cannot explain what happened to $69 million worth of fuel oil produced in the second half of 2004, raising fears that it was smuggled out of the country for private gain, according to a report by UN-appointed auditors.

Mystery of the Missing Meters:
Accounting for Iraq's Oil Revenue
Heavily armed soldiers spend their days at the oil terminals scanning the horizon looking for suicide bombers and stray fishing dhows (boats). Meanwhile, right under their noses, smugglers are suspected to be diverting an estimated billions of dollars worth of crude onto tankers because the oil metering system that is supposed monitor how much crude flows into and out of ABOT and KAAOT - has not worked since the March 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq.

It is not "WE" as in the U.S. making profit from it ... there is a 'we making profit from it though, be assured.

No need for that there is oil in Alaska (offshore). But people just don't want to drill there because of animals being affected. You know like the Amazon for wood but I guess it's OK if it's not in the U.S.
