Hi, i've always been pretty regular with my periods, give or take 1 or 2 days....my problem is, i was expecting my period around the 28th of March, its now the 1st of April and nothing. My boyfriend and i have messed around, but no intercourse, and im pretty dam sure after he ejaculated he wasnt even close to me....anyways i really dont think i could be pregnant. Im just worrying a bit.

2 weeks ago i was quite sick for about 5 days, couldnt do anything, and in the last 3 or so weeks there has been a lot of tension with family problems etc. and i was really stressed out about 3 days before i was expecting my period, the point is, can being sick and some stress delay my period ? how long do u think it might take to get back to normal ? i've pretty much gotten rid of the stress factors now, im just waiting for my period to come, maybe im thinking about it too much,

any help would be great, thanks.

Yes, getting sick with a cold could stress out the period possibly delaying the period. But the other stressful situations that you had (which have now cleared up) could also have something to do with this.

As to when it will come it's hard to say because it could come at any time.

As for advice try to relax. You can try doing something like a warm bath or any favorite music that you find relaxing as a couple of examples.

Stress is one factor that can actually affect cycles. Most periods self regulate within a 3 month time. If you are late in your period for over 2 weeks, and want to make sure pregnancy is not issue you can do a home test. But for the period, you can wait for another couple of months without anything to worry about. If it is longer than 3 consecutive missed cycles, the you should talk to a physician
