1) 6/3 =2 and sqrt(18) = 3sqrt(2) so the whole thing is: 2-3sqrt(2)
2) 6/sqrt(5)-sqrt(14) 6sqrt(5)/5-sqrt(14)
Hope this helps a little.

6/3 - sqrt(18) = 0
sqrt(18) = 6/3 (square both sides to get rid of the radical)
18 = 36/9
18 - 36/9 = 0
18 - 18/3 (dividing top and bottom by half to simplify)
18 - 6 = 12

Second one
6/sqrt(5) - sqrt(14) = 0
6/sqrt(5) = sqrt(14) (square both sides)
36/5=14
36/5 - 14 = 0 (multiple 14 by 5 on the top and bottom)
36/5 - 70/5 = 0 (now that you have a common denominator, you can have a simplified answer)
36/5 - 70/5 = -34/5
