there is a website that is promoting voting for the worst contestant for sh*ts and giggles.

Lighten up people, it's entertainment. Who said that the best (or should I say ,the best of the mediocre?) will win? The half-way decent performers will probably be offered some type of contract regardless of who wins. We all laughed at the preliminary contestants, some people just want this to continue.
The show was originally intended for amateurs ,but some experienced ,past paid performers are entering the ranks,
so it's not entirely fair anyhow. As for Sanjaya, he has appeal, personality ,stage presence, and humility.
If Sanjaya wins, Simon says that he will quit; to many, this is
another incentive to vote for him. As for the voting public,
who ever said that the best always wins. Look who was elected to the presidency twice; need I say more?

I agree with JJ up there, I see the MJ factor in Sanjaya too. Personally I think Sanjaya is horrific.

All of his appeal comes from his looks, his fans, and people that dislike the show and hope a total loser with no talent wins.
Blame the judges from the get-go letting him through. They knew he had no talent and somehow there he is on the stage to be voted on by America now. It's a show where America votes, so if the judges are dumb enough to let through that stage... it's all their fault if he wins it all.

I don't know..i think he is horrible too..maybe everyone is purposely voting for the worse person to get american idol to come to an end. It has pretty much run itself into the ground if you ask me

I think tahts what all thr people with some kind of sense is asking the same question. but who knows he might still be there because is the stupid little teenager girls the ones that actually call and vote for him. but personally i think he looks like a monkey. i used to like some of the songs they sing atthe show but after sanyaja performed them, completly ruined them.
