I'd say a 9....the only thing that hasn't happened to me or my sisters is being shot. Really. Long story really short: Both of our parents were abusive and neglectful in extremes. Dad was a violent, psychotic sexual predator, and mom was disabled courtesy of being in a car accident as a teenager, and then she eventually became a rampaging drunk.

Oh, and my family, my sisters and I, we grew up dirt poor to destitute. So yeah....my life, the lives of my sisters, it's been pretty crappy. The emotional scars are many and thick. I've been hacking away at *my* issues for 15 years as an adult, doing the best I can with the lame and half-hearted "professional help" the local mental health system offers, and still, its one step forward, one step sideways, and three steps back. I've got depression, post-traumatic stress issues, and dissociation to deal with, and now I've also got to get at least a *few* of these so-called professional social workers and doctors off of theirasses and get them to offer me some help I can use (because I *really* don't deal well with the whole behavioral agenda people keep pushing like evangelical culties, ok? I'm 40 now, I've been in the struggle at least since my folks divorced when I was ten years old, and I am sorry, a *workbook* and a six-week course in *sloganeering* my problems isn't going to cut it).

But yeah, I've been through a ton of crap in my life. You can email me for more details....I have lots of problems and have been running out of solutions for some time now.

Thanks for your time...I hope this helps. -_-

Oh, I keep it ratcheted up there around a 14. I live with great gusto and sensitivity. My brother once hushed me in a gathering of strangers and whispered, "Don't be telling people about our lives. No one's ever going to believe you, you know." My response in that regards, when people cannot believe how rich and different and meaningful my life is, has always been to wonder why other people choose to live such "normal" or boring lives. It's such a short life, you know.

I am quite sure we are all abnormal, because not one person can come up with the perfect idea of normal , so count me in the abnormal side

I would say mine is an 8or 9. I have had a lot of tragedies. I have had some very high spots and some very low spots. I know there is a theory whereby we all think our problems are worse than other's and that nothing bad happens to others I know it does. I do not feelthat I have cornered the market on misery --

7. What seems normal to me is abnormal to them. I like to think about things, to question everything, like the education system, why we have to do this, why we have to do that. They are the kinds who do not question, but just do it. I cannot do that. I've always believed that there is some unknown higher meaning to life, but they think that I think too much. So I'm pretty weird to them.

Could you also provide us with a definition what "abnormal" in your understanding means?
