Wow.
So let's say that after this global time-zone change takes place, you're in an area of the world where the sun rises at 1pm and sets around 1 am. How screwed up is that going to make everyone's lives around you?
Which area of the world gets to keep the normal times?
Why?
You think it's confusing now, how do you think farmers are going to be able to take care of their animals if they're asleep until 3pm? or 7pm? or midnight?
Animals don't care what time YOU say it is. They sleep at night. Period.
As humans we have been conditioned to sleep at night, and to associate different times of the day with different times on the clock. You can't break that - it's ingrained in our psyches and DNA.
You really just need to think about your question more and how the earth works (and how our society works) to get your answer.

It would likely be more confusing the way you suggest it. It would be more difficult to get used to 1pm being dark somewhere else, than it would be to set your watch ahead 8 hours. Plus, what about those people that would have to work during a dark day and sleep while the sun is shining...it just wouldn't be fair!

Because P.M. would mean one thing on one side of the world and another on the other side. Different times zones would be less confusing than just one. And it would be breaking traditions that started WAAAAAAAAY back when.

It'd be even more confusing trying to readjust to a recently changed time zone.

Do u want to swim and BBQ in the dark? No one does, the earth rotates. It would be easier, yes, but not feisable.

Because every country has a different government and no government wants to agree to a universal policy. I think it's a good idea though.

Maybe there would be more confusion like that. Our mornings, afternoons, and nights wouldn't be the same to all of us.
