It depends on whether you are talking about a trial, a hearing, an appellate review, etc.
At a trial or hearing, the main people are the judge, the attorneys for the two parties (including the parties themselves, or the prosecutor in a criminal trial). There is also usually a clerk, and a court reporter, both of which are important.
At a trial, there may also be a jury. Almost always for serious criminal matters. Sometimes for civil matters.

There is always a Judge and his/her staff (clerks), court reporter, bailiff/security of some sort, and attorneys for both sides (Plaintiff and Defense).
There is not always a jury -- in instances of a bench trial (meaning the Judge rules solely on case) there is no jury.

Judge, Jury, Defense Layer, Prosecution Lawyer, Defendant, Plaintiff, Bailiff, and then there may be onlookers, depending on the type of case. The onlookers may be family, friends or just citizens.

Judge, court recorder, sometimes the judges secretary, bailiff(s), prosecuting attorney (fed, state, county, etc), defense attorney, witnesses, accused, 6 person jury for all but a capital crime (if a jury trial), public. Oh yeah, the TV crew if it's being turned into a media circus.
