I have a desktop PC right now and I have a cable modem with Time Warner for my internet connection with the desktop. But in the next couple weeks I'm getting a Mac laptop. How do I go about getting an internet connection for that?

I won't buy a hub, I'd buy a switch. They are almost the same price. However a wireless router is the best option, it would allow you to move around with your laptop and still keep your PC connected. Most wireless routers have a couple of ports to plug other equipment into.

Just buy a hub and run the two computers via the hub they are easy to set up and will allow you to use both computers at the same time.

if your replacing your PC then same way you setup your PC, if your ADDING (as well as your PC) it then you will need a router with a built in hub/switch so that they can both use your cable modem
