Alternate interior angles: are angles in the middle of the transversal.

Corresponding angles are angles that occupy the same relative position. Think of an intersection. The northeast corner of the intersection corresponds to the northeast corner of the intersection just south of it.

Alternate angles are just that-they are inside and on opposite sides of the line
