another thing to try is go into the control panel , go to sounds & click on all the particulars just like you were installing it for the first time, then if still nothing reboot & it should pick it up. If not I'd say the first guy was right. You can get all the updates you need automatically at www.microsoft.com. Just click on windows update & it will take care of the rest, including any other updates you may need.

I was warned about this from a friend who works with computers. Will all of your computer accept the new program?? Maybe not.

Try uninstalling the new program, and reinstalling it. Also, get rid of any programs you have which have outlived their usefulness.

Good luck.

OJ, ps. Now might be agood time to check all your wiring. it's cheap, maybe some is old and shorting out. Complete new wiring will set you back $ 10.00 or so. )This tip from a verizin techie)

Make sure all drivers are up to date. Either Windows update or computer manufacturer's website.
