If air gets in there you will die. I do not recommed it, and why would you want to anyhow!

You would die, it would cause your heart to stop. The air would disrupt the flow of blood in your heart. That's why you see some nurses and doctors squeeze a little medicine out before they inject you so no air enters your bloodstream.
