I personally think we must fight against ALL forms of fanaticism, terrorism and undemocratic fascist activities; be it foreign-brewed or otherwise. Thanks to the unrelenting Christian Right's dominionist agenda, brainwashing propaganda, patriotically packaged rhetoric, and ever-growing subversive governmental influence, we are headed straight for a theocratic-ruled America. :-(

it's hard to fight them because they are mainstreamed...it would take another civil war at this point...we'll just have to move slowly to replace solid democratic values and start taxing Church investment profits

I would imagine it's a good book. Chris Hedges is a smart dude. Here's more on him:

from wikipedia:

Chris Hedges is a journalist and author, specializing in American and Middle Eastern politics and society.

Hedges is currently a senior fellow at The Nation Institute in New York City and a Lecturer in the Council of the Humanities and the Anschutz Distinguished Fellow at Princeton University. He spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent in Central America, the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans. He has reported from more than fifty countries, and has worked for The Christian Science Monitor, National Public Radio, The Dallas Morning News and The New York Times, where he spent fifteen years.

Hedges was part of The New York Times team that won the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for the paper's coverage of global terrorism. He received the 2002 Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism.

I think I heard him on NPR. Didn't he work for Falwell at one time? Is that the same author? I know I heard a couple of interviews from 2 different authors on the same subject. But I can't recall the authors names on either. Both were very informative, however. And, I agree with the rest of your post.

Your saying that...if i beleive in God, that i am automatically a right wing, war hungry fascist? That is the most hilarious liberal propoganda that i have heard so far. You, sir, are thinking a little on the radical side. You seem to be...brainwashed?
