It's possible that they like the look of the dandelions, and they don't like it when they're gone. A more probable reason is that when you mow over the dandelions instead of pulling them first, you tend to disperse the seeds. The seeds can go all over your lawn, as well as travel into your neighbors' lawns. Depending on the types of plants your neighbors like, they might not like the introduction of dandelions.

dont know but I know this Scott's works wonders on my lawn for such a huge problem of weeds and dandilions

because they're immature and attempting to be pretentious, pretending they find beauty in weeds. hang out with different girls, and use some decent weed killer.
plant some decent flowers (calla lilies, tulips) and attract some decent girls with true appreciation of beauty in nature
