Where is the best place for me to find this knowledge, and on a limited budget. This is one of the goals that I seek to accomplish before going to college, because I feel that after college and mortgage etc my dreams may float to the back burner and I don't want to have old age filled with regret, but as a result my income is low and it is hard for me to travel very far. I would appreciate any kind input.

There's a Native American group at NC State. They happen to be putting on a Pow-Wow this weekend (Mar 31-Apr 1), if you live near there.

Go to Cherokee, NC and start your search there.

White folk's libraries will only get you so far.

If you live near the Lumbee communities, you might also go there, but they have lost much of their heritage.
