The smart money is on Australia, but personally I think New Zealand are the side that Caribbean conditions suit best. They have a balanced bowling attack, with Bond providing blistering pace, Vettori and Patel are decent slow bowlers and then they have a myriad of nagging medium-pace bowlers you just can't get away, like Styris, Oram and McMillam(they are all excellent strikers of the ball too!). McCullum is a wicket-keeper-batsman. Add Fleming's innovative captaincy, a long batting line-up and the Kiwis are my favourites to win it. Besides, they hammered the Aussies 3-0 recently, twice chasing scores in excess of 340!!

Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on many occasions, nothing can be predicted for sure.
As it stands now Australia, South Africa, New Zeland and Sri Lanka are the main contenders for the world cup. Whichever team plays to their potential consistently from now onwards will be the ultimate winners.

Australia is the most consistant team but when the wheels come off they collapse and I forsee that happening shortly. There are 3 teams that are really to be watched out for as dangerosuly unpredicatble and devestating. Sri Lanka, NewZeeland and South Africa. Aussies will qualify for the semis with these teams and be knocked out. SriLanka will win the world cup due to their impressive and consistant bowling. There unpredicatble batting will play part. Depending how the teams face each other in the semis will deem the fate of who faces Si Lanka in the final.
I predict Sri lanka v South africa and Sri Lanka will triumph.

I think perhaps the Australians are peaking too early.
Cannot see England beating them but have a sneaky feeling that if anyone can beat them it will be New Zealand.
Well suited to the conditions a very well balanced side with several match winners in it and run by the best captain in world cricket.

It looks like those very gracious Aussies will win it again. Since all their women run off abroad from an early age in pursuit of real men, Aussie blokes have far more time on their hands to dedicate to sport, and a far greater need to be seen as winners, rather than losers.
Personally, I hope Bangladesh win.

Australia...for sure. They are ranked number one in the world right now, and the momentum is completely in their favor. Their rating holds steady at 135, that's pretty good. They just beat Bangladesh by 10 wickets. Australians show no mercy and will continue dominate the World Cup.

I think australia are top favourites at this point but South Africa are big contenders so far looking at their latest performances in one day internationals , records will tell you they usually win ODI.Dont forget the Kiwies which look like dark horses they are like hard nut to crack they have an ability to beat any one in this tournament.
England , West Indies/ Srilanka maybe if weather support them.

Sri Lanka look the best team but after losing to South Africa I would have to go for the unbeaten New Zealand.
