animal name? I had two cats that were twins, they were Maine Coone's and the cutest most adorable, fluffy, lovable cats you've ever met and their names were Maddy and Taffy. Taffy had a little bit thinner face, and pointier nose. She wasn't too bright, but awfully affectionate and very playful. Maddy had a little bit flatter face, a little more round in the middle, but she was the smart one of the two. She was much more reserved, more laid back, and always in deep thought about something or other, but also very playful and affectionate.

We have a brown cat named "Bosco" after the chocolate drink in our childhood, an abyssinian cat with peach colored swirls in her coat named "cinnamon" because she looks like a cinnamon bun. But my favorite was a kitten rescued by a friend with a really big old dog. The dog loved the kitten and licked it all the time. They named the kitten "milkbone" after the dog biscuits.

Well, we named our cat Mewbie. She had belonged to someone else who named her Muiran, apparently after a character in Braveheart, but I'm not sure it fit her so well. She's quite a talker, though, and wound up with this name.
I think the best names just sort of evolve to fit the animal. (-: Not every cat can carry off "Mewbie."

I got my cat out a dumpster and named him Raggs - because he got lucky and went from Rags to Riches :)
