My friend just recently gave me some vines of his wondering jew plant! Right now it's just sitting in a cup of water, it doesnt have any root. Can I plant it in some soil and let it grow? Or do I just keep it in the water til it grows a root? I have no clue.

Any help would be great!!

you can leave it in the water but I would make sure that the stem that is in the water you have pulled the leaves off most of the time the roots come out of there but you can also pull the leaves off the bottom of the stem and put it in dirt too they are a very easy plant to grow and they come in a few different colors too. . .

try such as some more advantageous organic and organic fertilisers like the exterior of carrots or cucumbers each and each and every time u peel them. many circumstances situations a plant that has no longer been precise pruned will in undemanding words have 2 or 3 substantial stems. through cutting it back heavy it incredibly is going to branch out with a minimum of two branches for each body that you decrease off.once you're pruning make sure you get rid of any damaged or scarred branches. those are a no longer some thing yet an invitation to insect and ailment.Severing the roots of the plant genuinely motives the plant to grant new little fibrous roots which have a miles more advantageous perfect skill to absorb foodstuff. for each root that you intense the plant will replace it with distinctive small fibrous roots, very much increasing the plant existence skill to absorb foodstuff. All varieties of Wandering Jew root easily in water in 1 to 2 weeks. Strip off the lower leaves (that would be in water) and place in a Clear container of water. You'll see roots in no time. good luck

What I really like about it is that it'll grow almost anywhere, and you can get as many plants as you want off of one start. Snip off a piece of vine, let it soak in some water until roots sprout, and then drop it into some potting soil. Ta-da! Another plant! My house could easily be overrun with Wandering Jews if I kept planting my cuttings.

This type of plant will grow anywhere, but like any other bit of shrubbery, it's got to be actually planted before it will grow.

This plant once it is rooted grows like a weed.
You can also buy root hormone (walmart)
and start it in potting soil. I always keep root hormone for all plants and trees.

It's Wandering, not Wondering (it's not capable of wondering since it lacks a brain).
Keep it in the water til it grows roots, then put it in soil.

Remove a couple of the lower leaves from the stem and stick it in a pot. They are really easy to grow.
