My husband and I felt this way a lot of the time. What we have learned is time the auction. When it's about to end stay and watch it. Keep refreshing. We have cable internet so our refresh pages take about 5 seconds to load fully. Once you get out bidded place another bid quickly. Or more so wait until you only have a min left and place the bid again. I usually wait until I have 30 seconds left and place the bid again, if I get outbided on. But we use to be fileld with rage. It's most annoying when it happens. That's why we do what we do now.

It doesn't get me angry... but it sure can bum you out. Although another one will probably be listed shortly anyway.
I've found it best not to bid until the very last second. Look at the time that the bidding ends and wait until there is about 30 seconds left and them put in your bid. Use the clock on your computer to make sure your not a minute early or a minute late.
After you bid you can tell the computer to automatically bid higher up to an amount you tell it to. You'll see the screen when you make your bid

You need to wait at the last few minutes to start bidding. If you bid too early you only push the price higher. But sometimes someone else puts in a ridiculous bid in to start. Hey you never know it could even be the same person who's selling, with an alt account.

Actually if you have patients another item will show up. What amazes me are all the people who bid and drive up the price on an item and dont search category enuff to find another same item that sometimes ends at a ridiculously low price.

When I get outbid, I just try to go and reconsider when I'm willing to pay for the item vs. what its really worth, and possibly, rebid!!!
Remember, the world will not end if you don't win that auction on eBay. There will be other auctions, for other items, on other dates.
Just don't get too involved with eBay.

Not that extreme emotional, but it does produce a sinking feeling; gems to you maybe someone's trash or some left over, it is not all that in-and-end-all to win a bid for an item if you consider it that way.

I never get outbid on E-bay...
A good rule in life if you are an angry little bugger...
is if you know there is a chance you might not win... Don't play!
I never get out bid on E-bay... If I want something... I make sure I get it!

Yes, it's upsetting. But, prices are determined by supply and demand. It sounds like there are a lot of others out there who want the same items you do, and they're willing to pay more. Still, though, it is frustrating.

Hi. Yes and it bites. Mostly done by automatic 'sniper' programs in the last few seconds of an auction.
