my outer labia have been swelling for about two days now, and I was wondering if something may be seriosuly wrong? I hought it might have been my boyfriends tree peircings, but it would have gone down by now. it's also itchy, red.

If your having a reaction to the metal in the piercing, it's not necessarily going to be gone by now. Everyone reacts differently to allergies/irritants and have different recovery times. Your symptoms sound like that is what's going on. If you have seen a physician and ruled out any infection, just let the area rest for a few more days. If the irritation increases, or other symptoms arise, call your doctor again. Once the symptoms subside, you'll of course have to have your boyfriend remove his piercing and cleanse before sex in the future if you determine this is the cause. I wouldn't worry too much- the labia are very snesitive and may take more than a couple of days to clear up.

Sounds like you could have a yeast infection, or bacteria vaginosis. Neither one is anything that you should be worried about, but you should see a doctor as soon as possible. It's not a good idea to purchase over the counter drugs for a yeast infection if you are not familiar with or have never had a yeast infection before because there is a possibility that that is not the problem. Don't douch douching while you have a yeast infection or bacteria vaginosis only makes the problem worse and with bacteria vaginosis it can help cause a bad odor.

sounds like you may have a yeast infection of some sort. labia can swell with that, just from the general genital irritation. it could just be irritated from contact with the tree piercing as well. itchy and redness though is fairly common for yeast, either candida (which you can treat with monistat) or bacterial vaginosis, which you need prescription meds to treat. if you have a thick, white discharge it could be either of the two. you may want to see your doc.

You might be allergic to the metal in his rings/studs or you might have swelling due to the mechanics of sex. You can try a little vaginal itch cream for a day or two but if that doesn't have any effect then I would go see a doctor. Keep a journal of when you have sex and how often it happens so you can see if the symptoms are related.

sounds like a yeast infection, go to an OBGYN, if you can't afford it go to planned parenthood. Best case scenario: its something that can be fixed with antibiotics, worst case: something that can't. It's better to know. Maybe it's just inflamed from some unnatural object being there, including a body part that isn't yours. Take a little hiatus.

This sounds like it could be related to an infection such as yeast. Keep an eye on your discharge as well and have the dr check you for infections such as yeast infection if he hasn't already.
Itching (this in particular) and redness are some classic signs of yeast infection.

Go to the doctor ASAP. I dont want to alarm you but my friends sister had this and it was cancer of the vulva. This is very rare so it may not be this but it is best to get it checked out right away. Good luck.

If he has piercings it could be a metal allergy. That's what it sounds like. At any rate whatever it is, it's an irritation so see your doc.

Why would you ask that here? See a gynecologist. It sounds like you have an STD.
