From IE, click Tools, Internet Options
delete cookies
delete files (offline files)
clear history (set days to save to 0 if you want)
click o.k., and Restart
Your history will be empty at power-on, but will build up as you surf, and empty when you power-off.

In Firefox you press shift+delete.
In IE, just clear the internet history and cookies and temp files. You can do that by going to tools->internet options.
