He ought to try to win this thing instead of screwing up so badly that the next Pres. can not possibly win...maybe this is a ploy to use in future debates when they will accuse Democrats of losing the war in 2010. but it appears that 2 wars aren't enough for him to lose.

The war on terror will not end with Bush's Presidency. The fear of the terrorists gaining control of the flow of oil and sending the economies ( that is plural ) of the western world on it's ear will not end with his Presidency. We will still be in the middle east twenty years from now.

I dón't support bush, but what do you mean by "leave"? You guys act as if all presidents clean up any problems before the next president takes over. Puu-lease. We will still be in Iraq

No brainer.

Next president. And if a funding bill isn't passed, the Iraqi people may be burying our troops over there.

He will leave it for the next president, so that there is someone to blame in the end.

Neither!! His plan is for world war three to break out so he can continue staying an office. That's the outcome.

This fight is one that is generational. It will change or "morph" if you will, but it will last 100 years if need be.

We will leave Iraq, one way or another, and we will eventually leave Afghanistan victorious.

That's not the end, however. This war is bigger than Iraq and Afghanistan.

this is the last year of war funding from the democratic congress. they won't fund it again next year. if it were up to rove/cheney, the troops would stay there forever...bush doesn't decide anything.....
