Probably, your fish's skin material had a chemical reaction to the water, which caused it to dissolve from existence. I'm sorry to hear that. :(

Oh no...he probably jumped out and then flopped around for a while and flopped over to some area you didn't see. Ugh. Fish shouldn't try and run away from home.

maybe it got stuck in the filter..... eeeeeeeee that'd be horrible wouldnt it! lol. i hope you find it.
but what if it was never there to begin with and you have just had an empty fish tank all along an are just now realizing it??? hmmmm wouldnt that be weird..... so many explanations for this..... lol.

If you have more than one fish in there or crabs and shrimp, they might have eaten it. Happened to my poor, favorite butterfly fish.
