I wonder if Walmart is really good for America?

Walmart is poisoning America. It is a cancerous growth. It used to be that things in the store were made in America. Now it is all made in sweat shops in China. They lower the prices for awhile and run all the local stores out of business because "everyone wants a good deal." Then you are stuck paying the price they set. No competition. They are also notoriously bad to their workers.

I am an employee of Wal-mart and I work in logistics (warehousing). I get paid pretty well and have no real problems at work. Before that, I worked at a store. Pay there was a lot less, but still comperable to other employers in the same markets. And I shop at Wal-mart because I can afford their prices!

Mind you, I'm not brainwashed. I'm not one of those employees that believes Wal-mart loves me. They are a company, and like all companies they seek to make money. This doesn't make them evil, it just makes them a business.

Independent studies have shown that a Wal-mart store in a community actually results in more job opportunities and a better local economy. I think those who hate Wal-mart so much are mostly extreme left-wingers who don't like capitalism, even though it has brought great prosperity to America.

Why don't you get a job there and let us know how it is to work overtime for free. Never get any recognition for your work. be told you are incompetent and that your job can be filled by a trained monkey. Then reconsider asking this question
