Would you consider me emo...........

I am One of those people who you will always see wearing black, and I'm always sad. I have scars on my wrists, but not exactly from cutting myself. I need your advice.

Maybe you should talk to someone you trust, like your friends or (maybe) school counselor. I have a friend who used to cut herself on the stomach (guess so it wouldn't be seen by the outside world) and she used to see a psychiatrist, but I guess it never really went away. Depression (like many mental disorders) is tricky in that medication or going to see fancy shrinks works almost as well as the lapse of time. You should look within yourself.
I don't think wearing black has anything to do with being sad, although I guess there is the stereotype that depressed ppl wear black. Really you shouldn't be worrying about whether you're "emo" or "goth" or whatever the seemingly cool underground stereotype is. You need to figure out who you are and not what you think you should be based on what you are exposed to by pop culture.
My mother had a very bad childhood. She used to be sexually molested by a close family member and a close family friend. I think with situations like these, really only time can make pain slowly diminish, although I am sure it never really goes away. But we are human, and all experience pain, and I guess it is this pain that makes us stronger, for my mother is the strongest person I ever knew.
So yes, I think you should talk to your close friends, and learn to come to terms with your past.

Yeah, I'd consider you a bit of an emo... All I can say is unless you're parents died in a terrible accident, you get beaten every day, you're living on the street and haven't had food in three days, or you're a blind/deaf/mute, then I think you should lighten up! No problem with wearing black, though, black is a classy shade. Just quit moping that's all. Life is tough, but we all have to suffer and fight are own battles.

My sister, Black is the color to get washed out, sad is the emotion that is filled with doubt, scars are a history that you want to reveal, you are so powerful, what I feel is an ambition to reveal what is you. Cookie cutter people are a bore what you envision is so much more. You love and live with so much pain , yet generic impressions are all you gain..... Keep walking

What "exactly" are your scars from? And what is your purpose for always wearing black and feeling sad. I wouldn't be trying to decide what to call yourself, but I would want you to investigate why you are feeling sad and feeling you need to hurt yourself and what you can do about it to remedy hurting yourself and feeling sad all the time. It is not good for you to do that to yourself. Please note that my intentions in telling you these things are pure and I hope you will find help for yourself and get to the root of your feelings so as to find a solution to them. Good luck.

It doesn't matter if you are 'emo' or not. People need to stop stereotyping and judging people. Emo is, in my opinion, a very stupid word. People have said I was emo because I quoted a sad rap song. It doesn't make any sense to me and we need to move away from the stereotypes and these classifications.

You are you. That's it.

I am not going to judge you by what you wear or your scar, cos its obvoius that you dont want it that way, its just your past and your pain. The best way to move forward is to have a best friend to talk to and be there to help you out. God bless!

Well, some people would call you emo, but that doesn't mean you are. "Emo" is just a word. If you're really unhappy, you should talk to someone you are close to.
