Billy is keeping his cards close to his chest on this. I really think he is doing it to get a pay raise. I don't blame him for that we all want to make more money. The players have said they will come back next year rather than go pro, I doubt a coach will walk away from that type of commitment from his players.
I would lose respect for him if he walked out on his players.

Unfortunately, money is a key issue these days, whether or not Billy Donovan wants it to be. He will certainly be in the limelight here. But is this what he wants? Does he want to be placed upon the Fanatical Wildcat Pedestal knowing that there is always a loosely-wrapped noose in-waiting around his neck? But he may also be the very man to follow the Rupp-Pitino legacies for the U of K. And I think the time is due for that to happen. For a local opinion on this very question, see the front page of Monday, April 2nd, Lexington paper....

It depends on how much Billy Donovan wants the money. Certainly, he's looking at an offer from Kentucky which will be at least $20 million dollars for at least five years. Florida will not pay that much because they are not going to pay Donovan more than Urban Meyer. I, however, think Donovan likes Florida too much and doesn't really want to compete with his mentor, Rick Pitino at Louisville. Funny if Florida wins on Monday, he'll have more titles than Pitino.

I agree, this is standard rumor mill stuff, he's just looking for a raise. If he wins again you can bet he'll get it too. Why go to Kentucky unless they come up with a very $weet offer?
If he ever decides to move on for a more personal reason, say for the challenge, I'd love to see him return to his alma mater, Providence, but they could never afford him... :(

there might be a little merit to it but if his team wins it all why would leave, Kentucky is trying to find a coach who is familiar with Kentucky and Donovan knows Kentucky
