Are gasses in closed containers affected by gravity

Yes they are, but not to the extent that the gases eventually settle to the bottom of the container. The atmosphere around the Earth is affected by gravity yet it remains in the gas form and is free to flow and mix with all other gases. The effect is so small that it is nearly impossible to measure - but it is still there. That is why CO2 will settle into lower places if there is no wind to help it mix with the atmosphere. CO2 has a higher density than that of other components of air and it will settle out (caused by gravity). If no gravity were present the CO2 would not necessarily settle out.
