Can I use iPod Disk to back-up my songs?

I've just installed iPod Disk to my MacBook. The reason is because I need to reinstall my OS due to some problems. I would like to know if I could use iPod Disk to transfer my music (3,600) from my iPod to my MacBook when the reinstall is complete. This is because I don't want to waste 5 DVDs just to back-up all my songs. Will this application do just that?

I don't know why not . . . the ipod is capable of functioning as a portable hard drive. As long as you put the files (music files and itunes configuration files) back where they go after you reinstall then it should work. Better ask a mac user though. Good luck!
