For example, Harry from the movie Armageddon stole the detonator from AJ to stay back and detonate the bomb on the asteroid which was headed towards the Earth, in turn killing him but saving the entire world along with the other surviving crew members. I know this is just a movie, but if you had to, would you do it?

Well, I would do it, but not for the world. I would do it for a few different reasons:
1. A girl I know and love, as well as my best friend and family
2. Die in flaming glory, that would just be awesome
3. I would feel guilty knowing that I could have saved the world, and would have ended up commiting suicide from the guilt so I would just save the world.

Yes, not because Im that courageous but that would be the only way to save my son. Id know if the world goes, he goes. I would have answered that question differently before I became a Mom.

If you don't sacrifice yourself where will you be when the world is destroyed?
There are times when you just can't win!!!
You can die alone and save billions or you can die as one of the billions. That is like being given a choice of how you will be executed.

um....if i had to risk my life for the world it wouldn't matter if i was selfish enough to not risk my life for the world or not cause if i didn't i would die anyways cause noone would have saved the world and we'd all be dead anyway. So why does it even matter?
