Right now, Romney. Guiliani is not a conservative and supports amnesty. McCain has sold out conservatives for years. Time for payback.

Obama and Hillary are leftists and liberals have never won a national election.

Some darkhorse candidate who will suddenly become very popular at just the right moment to win the election in a landslide?

It's a long time before Nov'08 and I would guess that most of today's major candidates won't be in the race this time next year and that there will be at least a couple of major players who we haven't even considered at this point.

But I guess if I had to say who right now, I'd probably want to vote for a candidate who didn't even make the ballot in this state...so I'd wind up either voting Mcaine or not at all.

I really think that we need a Democrat as president, albeit one who is more of a centrist than either of our two frontrunners right now.

Hillary has got too much against her from the opposition to win any of the "swing" votes, and Obama is, although a great guy, a feel-good candidate and doesn't seem like he could fit the presidency very well.
Howard Dean was the same way, and had a huge following of supporters, akin to Obama's; now he's a laughingstock because of that (and perhaps a little BYAH now and then.)

I don't think there will be a candidate who I will end up wanting to vote for in 2008.

It would depend on the match up: Republican versus Democrat.

I'll tell you flat out, if anyone else beside Sen. John McCain wins the Republican Nomination, and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton wins the Democratic Nomination, I will vote for Sen. Clinton.

However, if Sen. McCain wins the Republican Nomination and Sen. Clinton is the Democrats choice, I would have to vote for Sen. McCain.

Other than that, I would have to look everyone's record and see where the stand on the Economy and the War in Iraq.

It used to be Mccain, but if he is considering running with scarey Kerry, no chance for that vote, Guliani is to left for me, Right now, it's too early for my decision. But the person I vote for should be conservative.

I would vote for Edwards he is real and seems to actually care for our country and our people. Hilary could make a good Vice President, I have to admit she is a strong woman.

my hope is that edwards and mccain get their respective nominations, but edwards won't, and mccain is slightly questionable. mccain is my preference, edwards second, and i could live with a few others. obama, rudy, and hilliary aren't what i'd want a president to be. what would be even better is if bloomberg decided to make a third party go of it. he'd be my ideal candidate, and give the third party movement in this country a real boost, which is nothing but good.

I would vote for Obamma because he is a really nice guy and he seems to really know what he wants and what he's talking about.
