Those who believe only in the empirical nature of the mind would say that it means being unusually good at picking up subliminal clues from a given situation or person. Those who believe there is more to the mind would say that the nervous system is more sensitive to reading subtle energies passing into the auric field and being recieved by the higher chakras of the person's energic being.

It means that the person has good instincts. He or she can understand another person's feelings, ideas, and thoughts. Some people go through life never understanding anyone but themselves. With a highly intuitive person that is not the case.
After just a few sentences, the person will understand your thought process.
