Since Rabbits are ground foraging animals , you can mix a 50/50 solution of water and ammonia and spray it around the perimiter of the vegitable garden. I have used this method to stop other animals from entering areas where they are not wanted. When they are scanning the ground with their nose the scent of the ammonia turns them away. This also works well if you spray the solution in garbage cans to keep racoons out. I hope this works well for you.

When I little, I remember hearing something about a "myth" (I think I heard it from my grandma or something) that putting marigolds around the edge of the garden, and it will "deter" rabbits because rabbits are supposed to be allergic to the flower's pollen or something? I'm not really sure though, because I have never seen it actually used, let alone if it was successful or not.

Well if you don't want hair all over your veggies... go to a garden supply store and buy a plastic owl and drive some stakes in the ground to about 3-4 feet and perch the owl on the stake and move it every night. It worked for me!

I know this one!!! My haircutist person takes the hair that she cut from others and spreads it along the outer edge of her garden. The rabbits smell the humans and they stay away. It works like magic!

The Marigolds work great for rabbits. But they do make a nice supper.

I use my rifle...rabbit stew coming right up. Remember those rabbits are dangerous. That's no ordinary rabbit. That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on! Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer! He'll do you up a treat, mate. I'm warning you! He's got huge, sharp... er... He can leap about. Look at the bones! I *warned* you, but did you listen to me? Oh, no, you *knew*, didn't you? Oh, it's just a harmless little *bunny*, isn't it?

Keep your doors and windows shut while you are eating.
Extra precaution: Use a really deep bowl while eating your vegetables...in case somehow a bunny does get into your home and attempt to nibble your niblets.

You might need to build a fairly high fence around your garden.
Ask your local garden shops what flowers detere rabits and other animals who will eat your garden..
I used to plant marygolds around my gardens. They seemed to work for me.

Plant marigolds around the outside. They hate the smell.

Catch one in a live trap, then rip its guts out and spread them around the edges of the garden.. hang the empty carcase on a stick in the middle of the garden.
no rabbit will come within 100 yards of it.
