I haven't found songs that provide like a big overall picture, but a few songs describe different aspects of life very vividly.
One Day More from Les Miserables:
This song makes takes all of the characters individual stories, their wants and needs and inter-relates them all in a cool way. It makes me think of how that happens in real life, all of us going about our business, and effecting the lives of other people without even knowing it.
Infinite Dreams by Iron Maiden
Song about the afterlife, or lack thereof depending on your perspective. The song maintains a kind of cautious middle-ground, which is how I've always felt.
Who Do you Want to be Today by Oingo Boingo:
I've gone through a lot of changes in my life. I get bored being one way, so I decide to change, to explore new music, new styles, new types of books.
Cinderella Undercover by Oingo Boingo
This is a great song about growing up, and becoming disillusioned with things that you believed when you were younger.
Change by Oingo Boingo:
As much as I've changed throughout my life, some things (some people) I'm very resistant to change. This song relates to that feeling.
Failure by Swans.
When I get in a rut, this song describes how I feel almost exactly.

"you get what you give" by new radicals...it's meaningful to me because it really discusses the idea of karma which makes a lot of sense. If you treat others in a respectful way, you usually will get respect in return. Likewise, even if you find yourself in an environment which seems to be destructive on your personal goals, stay focused on your dreams; if they were truly meant to happen, they will. This track refers to points in my life when I doubted my own intelligence as other questioned the achievements that I had earned. I stopped listening to other folks and stayed committed to realizing 'my own truth'. In the end, it paid off and I have accomplished a lot in a short amount of time..this song says it all. :P hope this was helpful.

Hmm...
"Betrayed" by Avenged Sevenfold... and "Poison" by Alice Cooper. As much as I dislike Avenged Sevenfold's imgae and fanbase, they are talented musicians, and that song's so great.
Okay, here goes... (god I hate this story) my girlfriend of a year dumped me over the phone for no apparent reason, so of course my mind was like, "You must be nothing, she's all you had, you'll never anything..." then continued into stuff I always think, "You'll never be as good as Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Buckethead, any of them..." so I got really depressed that night. Then I put a CD my friend had given me the day before in the shower the morning after the dumping... And "Poison" played. I was like... WHOA. It's lyrics (although I usually listen to guitar >.>) really stood out and helped me.
Then, (this part gets even better!) one of my best friends, and the drummer of the band I'm in, (Method of Infection, go check out our MySpace /methodofinfection) started dating my ex. Oh yeah, it sucked. Then I listened to "Betrayed" once more, it's lyrics really applied to the situation...
So yeah, those are really meaningful songs to me.

The Right Man - Christina Aguillera. She sings about standing in the chapel wearing her white dress, and being at the corner of To Have and To Hold, but her father's not there to hold her hand, walk her down the aisle, or to give her away. (She doesn't specify if it's from a falling out, his death or a divorce, but it all fits) But her new husband shows her he's the right man for her. One day, her future daughter will hold her hand and know her mother found the right man.
Has great meaning for me and sometimes brings tears to my eyes because I was the only person from my family at my wedding due to marrying outside of my religion. But my husband (and his huuuge family) have shown me I found the right man.

BY FAR, "WHO YOU'D BE TODAY" by Kenny Chesney does and will always touch a spot in my heart. - My late girlfriend still is in my heart, even though she passed away in early 2003. These lyrics do remind me of how "close" she & I were. And she enjoyed C&W music. We used to make every chance to go out, but as I am still grieving, I am still in isolation. :-(
I try to follow through with the many "values" that we shared, including trying to help her parents and thier business.

I don't have the exact reason, but The Eleventh Commandment by Collin Raye really gets me. It's a song about child abuse. I have three kids that have never been abused....by me, anyway. I think their mom yells too much and so we are divorced.
