I just purchased this vehicle from a Chrysler Dealer and the Owner's Manual was not in the vehicle and the Dealer doesn't have it. I also need to know where I can obtain a valet key for the trunk and additional ignition keys. Should the dealer I purchased the car from in NJ have supplied the missing key code, second key and valet key and owner's manual with the car when I purchased it? In any case, I need information where I can obtain the items.

Rakel forwarded your Q to me 'cuz she Knows that it is one of my pet peeves .....owners without manuals!
It's just not right!

These are all in pdf format so you can download & save to your computer.
{{{ Of course you can print hard copies but that would require a BIG stack of paper & oodles of ink, that could be expensive }}}

Unfortunatly the extra keys & key codes can only be obtained from a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury dealer & they will not be free or cheap.

My guess would be a couple hundred $'s & an hour of time (at the FoMoCo dealer)

My advise to you is this:
Call the dealer that you bought the car from.
Ask if they can set up an appointment with a local FoMoCo dealer for you & pay for the extra keys & the programing.
They might be able to do this by arranging a P.O. number from their parts dept to the FoMoCo dealer parts dept..
Tell them you already obtained the owners manuals (don't tell them they were FREE from ME) & that it woulld be "good natured" of them to foot the other half of the bill ......after all YOU just spent ( X ) amount of $$$$ with THEM. NOT the FoMoCo dealer.

Good Luck & Enjoy your new car!

make a spare key from the original and you'll get the key code.the dealear should have given u the book .i bought a 1999 in 2001 with no book i broke the dealers chops for a book untill he got me a book.i told him that since the car was under warranty that every week i'd bring in the car for a complaint .i also told him i was making a complaint to nyc's better business bureau,and the states business bureau ,and ford motor company's dealer relations .i got the book 2 days later

It will cost a few dollars but don't waste a lot of time and effort. Stop by a Mercury dealership. As new as the car is they may have one in stock but if they don't they can certainly get one for you.
