I dont' know if that qualifies as being in jail.
I got arrested for driving without insurance and they put me in a holding cell for half an hour until someone came to bail me out. It was very humiliating.

When I was in 9th grade we visited the State Penitentiary--I was so scared that I was unable to look at anything except the floor. I have not been back to a jail since then and I am now in my late 50's-lol

I have never personally been booked in jail, but I have certainly put a lot of not nice people in there. It tears me up when I am taking a prisoner in, and the doors slide open, you step in and they slide closed. For a few minutes, you are standing in a cage, until the second door opens and you enter the jail itself. I know that I am leaving, but when that door slams shut, it kills me.
