There are many like the Grizzly Bear, Polar Bear, Tiger, Lion, Jaguar, Crocodile, etc.

Well the Polar bear is the largest.. and the some brown bears come in a close second. But for sheer intimidation.. I would go with the tiger... bears may attack and eat humans but its mostly a matter of random chance, big cats like tigers purposefully hunt man and they are cunning, wary, accomplised stalkers that you might not even know were hunting you. Tigers in the Sundarbans are known for their propensity to prey on humans, and while there is nothing wrong with that per se.. its very scary to think about. Bears may be big, but cats are some of the best hunters on the planet... you may be able to escape a bear but I think it would be much harder to shake a cat on your trail once they set their mind on killing you. To my mind I would fear any large feline much more than any bear..

The most intimidating land carnivore is probably the ratel, or honey badger. It weighs between 12-30 lbs. and has been known to drive leopards and even single lionesses from their kills.

Vampire Bats. They have creeped people out for centuries. Although they cause little harm, this blood sucking variety of bat has made a bad name for the rest of its species.

Lol i can't help it on this one. Man! we infect everything and adapt easily. We also tend to destroy everything we come in contact with. One could also say we fit the description of a virus.
