Everyone i know, at least, considers is to be good. The more torn up, the older, and written on they are, the better. especially if you can still wear them.
Its like, a tradition or something...
And, its looks freaking awesome!!
it doesnt look sloppy, and down here in Texas, no one cares if you look sloppy. they are CONVERSE. not strappy high heels or anything... is it like a punk thing? mmmm, tell me your thoguhts.

It's a skater/punk thing.
I have Vans, and I refuse to wash them. The more dirty and beat up they look, the better it is. Don't really know why. It's just a thing with those shoes and Converse.

I did not know everyone was against it. Up here in PA nobody seems to care what anyone does to their CT's . 15 years ago when I was a teen it was the same way, I still where them now but I no longer draw on or intentionally mutilate them, but they are pretty beat none the less. :-)

I love writing on converse. I can't wait till my school's out (it's private and we have to wear black shoes, I have black chucks) so I can spray paint them with gold and write on them with white out and silver sharpie. And HECK YA am I still gonna wear them. I think the reason why people like it, is because they get to have something no else has... point blank

well, in my opinion it doesnt have to be punk thing. its pretty awesome actually. im guessin its just the style of the converse sneakers. When u sorta thing of old shoes in a way, i think of red converses i dunno why haha but yeah and since its made of fabric its easier to write on and looks cool. ~the memories~

I have yet to write anything on my converse. I got them about 2 weeks ago. Once I get them old and dirty I will probably write on them....

do what you want, converse are for every occasion.
i prefer to keep them plain, but if i were you i would keep em nice, when they started getting old and torn, then i would write on them...

well i hav converse and i luv writng on them i feel that it lets me express myself. jus to lik put ur thoughts. On mine it says "the heart may freeze or it can burn" (from Rent i sooo luv that movie!!)
