I think they should legalize and decriminalize everything (drugs, booze, gambling and prostitution) just like it was well over a hundred years ago. The issue of drugs and booze was a non-issue.
It was all those darned temperance unionists that drove dope and booze down into the gutter! It was those darned temperance unionists that closed the saloons and brothels.
That's what's wrong with this picture.
Back then everything just got taxed. Everyone was happy and Big Brother was off their backs.
And yeah. There wasn't even an income tax neither. That came along during WWI.
Legalize it all, tax the booze, dope, sex and gambling, and get rid of the Income Tax. Enough's enough already!

If you ask me alcohol should be illegal also. Think about how many lives would be saved if there wasn't drunk drivers out in the streets....And how many children are neglected or beaten b/c their parents are drug addicts or alcoholics....It makes me sick to my stomache to see someone who is in a restraint drinking go out and get in the drivers seat of a car...It's pathetic and careless....
And yes, marijuana is addictive too..I know a few people who's kids go without clothes b/c the parents have to get their pot...It's the kids in this world affected by this nonsense...The kids are the ones that need to be thought about when it comes to either making something illegal or legal...
Since this is mostly kids on here I'm sure I too will receive mostly thumbs down but that just goes to show who the majority of the people on here on thinking about....their selves.

Though alcohol can be dangerous ans cause problems over time, Marijuana is more risky and addictive.
Also, there are many more people would be upset if alcohol was made illegal. It would be extremely hard to pull off.

Here is why Marijuana and other drugs will never be legal....If it were legal 70% of people in jail would be out on the street....1000's of judges would have no cases......Public defender would have nobody to defend.....the police would have nobody to bust and the DEA would have nobody to keep out of the country...Politicians would have nothing to talk about....It would just put too many people out of work to make it legal...It's no cost effective

They shoud just go ahead and legalize all drugs. I mean it has not stopped anyone. Maybe it would lower taxes?But that might take away from the criminality of it... That might be boring for some.

Blame Congress -- decades ago, they declared that marijuana was a dangerous drug, and in the same category as cocaine or heroin. And that determination has not been changed since.

hahaha...those who smoke weed sit back and do nothing while its the drunks that are out killing people with their cars!
alcohol does more damage to your body in the long run than weed does.

whats wrong with the picture is that they are making something into a law that is based on choice and morality
I personally think its wrong
the only law that is really adequate is drinking/drugs while driving since it puts others in danger
it REALLY doesn't make sense
but then again, the world is pretty ****** up.

yeah I agree and I DO NOT smoke marijuana, but I have been drunk off my *** before and have done some pretty dumb things while drunk. All my friends that do smoke weed are just calm, so I dont know why this is.

government,thats what,,,booze in my opinion is more deadly than smoking a doobie,,cuz pot is a drug and booze is not...legalizing pot,,is legalizing a drug which is a no no to the political correct,,,,booze has killed why to many ppl,,and can't say that I have heard of someone killing another who had just smoked a big fatty?????I agree with ya,,I'm in for legalizing herb
