Those are all pretty good schools, right? I would go to a community college and get your GPA up, but make sure it'll be okay to do that with whatever future plans you have. My premed adviser told me not to go to a community college because a lot of times, admission boards look down on community colleges because they think you're taking the easy way out. If you have to though, its a great, less expensive way to get your gen eds out of the way!

Ask the admissions office at UCLA what you need to do to get accepted. I would look for a junior or community college that can prep you and you must be prepared to work hard and get your GPA up. Sometimes universities have reciprocal agreements with certain community colleges which guarantees admission to the university upon completion of the degree at the smaller college.

Go to a good community college (SMCC or Pasadena CC, for example) and do well, so that you can transfer as a junior. Your other option, if you applied to any other good schools, would be to go there, then decide in two years if you still want to transfer to UCLA. It is a good school, but very large and impersonal. I dropped out of UCLA twice before transferring to another school where I finished.

Gen Ed requirements don't always transfer, but what you can do is show them that you can excel in an academic atmosphere. And you really should be at the very VERY top of a CC class in order to have a chance in hell to go to one of those schools.

I recommend applying elsewhere.

Yes, it would help you get re-admitted into UCLA.
