is the hexagon puzzling because it is more pemanent than earth storms- what comparison does it have to say Katrina

I didn't know Saturn has hexagons. My guess, and it is a guess, is that there is process going on similar to the behavior of clouds in some squall-line thunderstorms, where the clouds appear to take on a polygonal shape while the heat is transferred around the periphery of the clouds. You can sometimes create this in a cup of hot coffee. Add a spoonful of powdered creamer, but DO NOT STIR.
