Janis Joplin&Big Brothers-Bob Marley-Santana-AC/DC-Def Lep.Led Zep. All the bluesy type bands.and some may have not been in the 60's but that didn't mean the Hippie Era didn't live on in peoples minds. Stevie Ray Vaughn would have been a perfect hippie follower band. Soem didn't want the 60's to die, so it still lives on -even today. NO matter what anyone says!! Crosby,Stills Nash and Young -Forgot em'.

there are so many to mention.
Led Zepplin
Grateful Dead
Rolling Stones
Almond Brothers
J. Geils Band
Aerosmith
Queen
ZZ Top
Willie Nelson
Bobby Garcia
And really any music that premiered around the 50-70's. I come from a family full of people who to this day still live the hippie lifestyle. If you have any other questions let me know and I would be happy to answer.

Anything in the 60s...but if you have to have detail:

Jefferson Airplane
Iron Butterfly
Strawberry Alarm Clock
Greatful Dead
Steppenwolf
Janis Joplin(with Big Brother and the Holding Co)
Santana
Moby Grape

just about any band from San Francisco at that time

Some of these folks have their eras mixed up
Phish, Led Zep were NOT 60s bands....the "hippie" era was over

Hendrix was from Seattle.....noone knew who he was until 1969.....the end of hippies

Rolling Stones....are NOT by any reasoning a hippie band...LOL...they were followed by bikers

Same goes for the Who....they were a Mod band....60s' English punks

Mams and the Papas and the Monkees were Pop bands... they were fashioned around the Psychodelics of San Fran...and they were too pop for hippies

AEROSMITH? HIPPIES?>..you gotta be kidding!

The Greatful Dead. The Doors. Jimi Hendrix. "Groupies" would follow The Greatful Dead from place to place around the country as they toured. Many people would make and sell things in the parking lot of the concerts in order to make money since they didn't have "jobs.".

Rolling stones
Mama and Papa
Hendricks
Dillon
Doors (As I did in the 1980's, a teenager in the 1990's)
They had some great music, that teenagers had been listening for years
