The penalty for theft - amputation of hands or feet

The penalty for adultery - stoning to death, 100 lashes

The role of women under Sharia - NO RIGHT basically. (men so imagine your sister getting maried under the sharia law)

Dress codes - must be covered at all times, sor women, only youe eyes can be seen.

Domestic punishments - to beat, strike, to hit. ""Strike" off their heads, "strike" off the very tips of their fingers!"

Freedom of speech - "Sharia does not allow freedom of speech on such matters as criticism of Muhammad. Such criticism is considered blasphemy against Muhammad. it leads to DEATH penalty."

Treatment of non-Muslims- they are distinctly second-class citizens .

It's an ancient law, back before the concepts of equality or fairness.

Look at the Old Testament biblical law for comparison. The penalty for working on the Sabbath or wearing clothes made from two different types of cloth was death. But those laws are rarely practice any more.

And freedom of speech is uncommon in most countries. You say communist country, but you mean fascist country. Communism is an economic form. USSR and China and North Korea are fascist tyrannies, who happened to use communism as their economic model. And the penalties in those tyrannies fairly equivalent to the penalties above.

Besides, aside from dress codes, most of Sharia is practiced by few people as a literal code of law. And those that do, that's their law. We choose different laws. That's the nature of allowing counties the right to make their own laws.

Also, you are incorrect about the non-Muslims. The distinction the law draws is between those who follow one supreme god -- including Muslims, Jews and Christians -- and those who do not worship multiple gods or no gods.

It's their culture and we should respect it, as long as they don't bring those beliefs here . I get into fights with one of my former employer as well as the union that some people bring their sexist views to the work place. The Union and EEO preach cultural tolerance. I preach Sexual harrassment regulation. If some muslim man come to America and treats their female coworkers like dirt, they should have their *$%#! cut off. If they feel so strongly about a womans place, they should have stayed where they were born. I think you over exagerate Sharia's law. Females have more rights than described above. I am glad I'm here rather than not somewhere they practice this though.

I support the president and the present war on terror. I do not underestimate the threat of an ideology of hatred and domination.
That's where I stand.
