Depends on what you are into, Demien and Siddhartha are beautifully written novellas on the subject of religion. Great stories to read while you are growing up, they emphasize trying to find your own path. If your more of a romantic, I always loved Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston is an empowering book for any woman. Wicked is also very empowering and a bit more modern (about the wicked witch of the West of course), but pull out your dictionary for this one the vocabulary is advanced. If mystery is your pleasure than Therese Raquin by Emile Zola will keep you on the edge of your seat. And all are very credible choices that may come in handy later in life. :)

i'm a fourteen year old girl, and my favorite books are the uglies trilogy, by Scott Westerfeld. also, i just finished a great book called "a great and terrible beauty," by Libba Bray. there's a lot of good books out there, they just sometimes take a while to find! Hope you find a good one!

i would suggest novels by Jane Austen, particularly Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility. You're just the right age to begin appreciating these romantic, absorbing classics! :)
