I'm almost 25 and have always wanted to act but for some reason never pursued it. And now I really want to but feel as though I'm too old.

I just read yesterday about a 94 year old actress who didnt start her acting career until she was 90 years old.

no - the thing to think about is what type of roles you want to play - do a bit of research and if possible see about doing some work as an extra - remember its not just looks but acting - so being able to easily create the persona of a script - practice reading play and scripts that might be available from your local library - do some research about acting - film versus stage good sources are the websites of the Screen Actors Guild - which will give you some practical information about pay, insurance and other life stuff that is as important as getting good role - good luck and hope to see you in the theater

you're not too old, go to several castings and if they choose you they may ask you if you performed before and in what and you'll say you didn't have an agent so far and all you did was charity plays back home, somewhere where they can't ask about it
when you'll be really into the big role and have success you may confess your little lie to the producer but only when it's too late to replace you and of course you may say you were afraid they won't let you play

Nahhhhhhhhhhhhh! You're not too old at all. All plays/movies/shows etc. need all ages. Now, DON'T be surprsed or upset with the PARTS you might get...
Mother instead of daughter, etc. I started at around the same age...but did it as a hobby...aside from other work.

My younger stepbrother has an agent in Hollywood, and he tells me they are looking for all types. You might want to try community theatre, if there is one in your town. It is a great starting point. Break a leg!

Not at all! Dive right in.

My father knew a man who retired at 65 and moved to Hollywood. He worked constantly until his death at 91.

actually, you're better prepared because you have more experiece to pull from

people who start acting as children have trouble showing human emotions later in their career and they have to imitate because they don't know what it's like
