Did Congress Lie???

Question

The Pelosi Congress was supposed to have a positive plan to get this war won and get us out, right? What are they doing then? It’s all “Pork Barrel” bills, non-binding resolutions and basically “mud slinging” since the day Pelosi self-proclaimed “I am the most powerful woman in the country”!

Where is the huge plan? What are they doing in Congress except trying to stay elected and to bash America? Seriously people, are you not scared for the safety of this great land and for that matter, the world?

It is an interesting question you brought up and I beleive it should be answered.

First of all the war in Iraq cannot be won because it is not a war of 2 nations, but a civil war. We are in the middle of a civil war going on there, which we crated and cannot win.

Second of all, we're not there for the victory and promote freedom, that's really ignorant, 3200 of ours died there, we're there to take oil and make sure the big oil corporations have everything they need:

Iraq for oil fields
Afganistan to run the oil pipe through, to the sea where it can be shipped overseas.

Facts are there. People must only open their eyes.

I heard no plan for winning. I heard a plan that was in line with the will of the majority of Americans. Pork is nothing new. The pork in this is far less than what has been put into bills in the last several Congresses. It reminds me of the Republicans and their support for a bridge to nowhere in Alaska. That bridge cost about the same as the pork in this bill. You need to do some research before you launch your diatribe otherwise you don't look very bright.

I'm scared for the state of America with a number of population thinking that if you don't precisely support the President than you don't support the US and the troops. Dissent is what makes America's democracy strong. The rest of the world stopped taking us seriously under Bush.

As for the Congress it is a majority, but not a strong one. Bills with riders are normal and part of the Congressional process.
